A beautiful nameless bride came in last week for a textured and loose updo. I love this look for controlled sexy hair, especially for sea-cliff weddings. I can’t wait to replicate this style for her big wedding day and see her in her dress.

Ahhhh…. to really see all the beauty of the infamous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It’s so nice and peaceful to go down to the boardwalk at sunset. It is so quite you can actually hear the birds squawking and waves crashing in the background. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place. Some of the Lavish Salon girls and I teamed up with our favorite photographers, Jeff and Dori at Sun and Life Photography, and some beauties around town. This colorful textured summer shoot will be going up on the walls of the salon this week! It’s our first salon shoot, so we are so excited to share it with our co-workers, clients and friends.

Pureology knows how to put on a fun and useful class. Cocktail hour with good food and a full bar was a great starter. Ruth Roche came out to San Francisco to give us West Coasters a 60’s inspired collection of haircuts, colors, and up dos. Bridget Bardot fringe, bottom heavy bobs, and a new twist on the infamous beehive! This was one of the first classes I could use every hair cut and color in the salon! Ruth is absolutely ahhhmazing, talented, and funny! I highly recommend seeing her in action.

Angelic was my first thought when I saw this photo. Ed captured the sunset perfectly creating a glow in Kelsey’s gorgeous red hair with the  appropriate halo braid. I love the pale pink lip color, Sarah Nicole choose, with the soft makeup to enhance her natural beauty. Kelsey you are an angel.

This fallen dead tree is the perfect prop for a mini couture bridal shoot. When our two models walked in, I thought they were twins or at least sisters. Sarah Nicole Makeup & I wanted to give them mirroring, but completely different looks. Natural and Bold. It couldn’t have been a more gorgeous day out and we had the most beautiful pink sunsets with dolphins swimming by, but it was freeeezing!!! Thank you girl for being troopers, you are both amazing. xoxo
